Babs Tarr Talks about the Lack of Female Superhero Toys

Babs Tarr who’s a comic book artist for DC Comics New 52 run of Batgirl, was asked during her panel at the Puerto Rico Comic Con about the lack of female superhero toys in the market for comic book fans. In her response she spoke about her time working for the toy company Hasbro and how they made their toys by catering to big stores like Walmart and how they had their stores set up for selling toys, that it wasn’t so much about not wanting to make toys for a certain demographic.

She even talked about what DC Comics is doing with DC Super Hero Girls and what she likes and doesn’t like about it. Her full answer to the topic can be seen in the video below:
