Amber Heard Fired as Mera for the Aquaman Sequel?

The latest DC movie related rumor is surrounding Aquaman actress Amber Heard, that she’s been fired as the character of Mera from the second installment of James Wann’s highly successful movie, starring Jason Moroa as the title character.

This rumor comes a few days after the news of a judge ruling that Johnny Depp will be allowed to pursue a defamation lawsuit against Heard, reported by Variety. As  new evidence have surfaced of her legal battle with ex-husband Johnny Depp, that Heard was in fact the one who was abusing Depp during their marriage. Due to the strong evidence against Heard, many fans have demanded that she be removed from the franchise.

As of right now we can’t find any reliable sources, no statement by Warner Bros. or anyone attached Aquaman 2 of her firing. Until then, take any rumor being reported by any unreliable online outlet of Heard’s firing with a grain of salt, if and when it does happen and confirmed by credible sources, we’ll be sure to report the news as such.

Aquaman 2 is set to release in theaters on December 22, 2022.
