Aquaman officially released in China on Friday, December 7th and in three days since its release, the movie has already crossed $100 million dollars at the Chinese box office.
At this pace James Wan’s Aquaman will be the highest grossing DC Universe movie to be released in China, as Justice League stands as the highest grossing DC Universe movie with $106 million in its full run of over a month in China.
With a budget said to be around $160 million for the movie, a start in the foreign market in three days in one country of $100 dollars, it’s pretty certain Aquaman will be a box office hit for Warner Bros. and DC Comics.
#Aquaman just crossed the 100M total in #China by 4pm on Monday local time. Made in 3 and a half days more money than the other DCEU movies made during their entire #boxoffice run there. @creepypuppet This Wednesday the movie debuts in the U.K. as well. pic.twitter.com/E7F7XlEe8v
