Aquaman is Officially Filming in Australia with a $127 Million Budget

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jason Momoa starring and James Wan directing Aquaman will officially be filming in Australia, which has been already been heavily reportedly rumored to be the filming location for seventh film in the DC Extended Universe.

With this report, it’s also been confirmed by the Australian federal government, that $111 million will be spent on the film, with a $16.32 million grant from the Australian government.

“Queensland was successful in winning a competitive bid to attract Aquaman contributing to our reputation as a leading film destination,” said Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk.

Aquaman is slated to release in theaters on October 15th, 2018.
