British actor Asa Butterfield, known for movies such as Hugo and Ender Games, in a recent interview with Fickering Myth, for his latest film Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, was asked on what he’s a fan of more, in which Butterfield stated he preferred DC from the comics and cartoons, because of the grittiness.

He was then asked if a role in the DC Extended Universe was something that interest him and Butterfield went on to imply that he was, but didn’t want to jinx it and went on to say he was a fan of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and is excited for Justice League, among other things regarding DC Films.

Are you more a DC or Marvel fan?

DC honestly – just from the comics and the cartoon series. I like the grittiness of DC.

Would a role in the DC Extended Universe be something that may peak your interest? Looking at you, maybe playing Robin or Nightwing would fit?

Don’t jinx it! I’m maybe a bit too tall for Robin and about the same height as Ben Affleck but maybe someone who’s taller and sleek and a little sneaky!

They went younger with Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. Maybe you could be the new Riddler, he’s tall and sleek!

Stop, you’re getting me excited!

Are you a fan of the new DC films, Batman v Superman, etc.?

I’m a big fan and I’m really excited to see Justice League!
