Warner Bros. has a June 26th theatrical release date for the documentary based on the story of Batkid, titled “Batkid Begins: The Wish Heard Around the World.” with Julia Roberts attached to star and produce the documentary.
The story of Miles Scott (Batkid), captured the world’s attention when the Make-A-Wish Foundation granted his request to be his favorite superhero Batman for a day in 2013. Scott was diagnosed with lymphoblastic leukemia when he was 18 months old and the foundation turned San Francisco into Gotham City, and more than a billion people, including President Obama and Ben Affleck cheered him on, on social media.
