According to Variety through ListenFirst Digital Audience Ratings (DAR), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad are the most anticipated comic-book movie of the year, according to online results.
The way DAR works, it does a measurement of fan engagement across all the major digital platforms as it relates to the film, which both Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad are 500% stronger than other comic book films being released this year.
With upcoming films “Suicide Squad” and “Batman v Superman” both climbing the DAR-Film leaderboard, Warner Bros. has claimed the lead as the studio with the most anticipated comic-book adaptations of the year.
Among the slew of comic book films set for release in 2016, including new “Captain America” and “X-Men“ adaptations, early social and digital tracking places “Suicide Squad” and “Batman v Superman” 500% stronger than competitors based on standing at the same point pre-release. “Batman v Superman” is currently the #1 film by volume, followed by “Suicide Squad” and “Deadpool.”
