Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill both appeared on Good Morning America this morning, as they spoke on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and their roles in the film.
In the interview Affleck joked on feeling he could never match Cavill’s physique from Man of Steel and how he set a high bar that he felt he wouldn’t have been able to match.
“I saw the first movie he was in and I was like, ‘Wow, I don’t know if I’m going to be in quite that good of shape,” Affleck joked of Cavill. “He has definitely set a high bar but he also has to be in that high bar because he is you know, an alien. I figured I had a lower bar to reach because I’m just a man after all, but I ended up putting on about 20 pounds of muscle, which is really hard to do in my advanced age,” the 43-year-old Affleck continued.
Affleck also went on to say how proud he was of the film and what they’ve done with it:
“I got to work with some really talented people and I’m really proud of what we were able to do.”
