Booster Gold To Appear in the DC Extended Universe?

As we previously reported DC’s Legends of Tomorrow showrunner Phil Klemmer spoke with The Hollywood Reporter, in the interview he stated something that really stood out in regards to DC fan favorite, Booster Gold.

In the interview Klemmer confirmed that Booster Gold will not be appearing on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow anytime soon, even though Booster is the father of one of the main characters within the series, which is Rip Hunter.

Booster Gold in the DC Comics is a time-traveling super-hero from the 25th Century who uses high-tech equipment to fight crime and is not taken seriously by his peers because of a careless and egotistical attitude.

Klemmer’s reasoning behind why Booster won’t be appearing anytime soon, at least on their show, is because perhaps he’s being groomed for bigger things:

“I wish I could tease a Booster thing but, you might have to wait a good long while at least on our show,” said Klemmer. “Perhaps Booster is being groomed for bigger things.”

Could the bigger thing be the DC Extended Universe? It would make sense if that’s the reason Legends of Tomorrow wouldn’t be able to use Booster anytime soon.

That’s because sometimes when Warner Bros has plans for a character for the cinematic world, they put limitations or a complete stop on their usage for their live action television series.

Booster Gold is a character that has appeared in a DC Television series in the past, with Smallville in season 10. Meaning there was a willingness to allow for him to be used on television at a point, which only makes one question even more if he’s being groomed for the DC Extended Universe, more so when there was a Booster Gold, Blaze Comics Easter egg in Man of Steel.
