Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) who was a fan favorite for being fan cast to play Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, prior to the casting of Jesse Eisenberg being cast, seemed to have confirmed in an interview with AMC television series Geeking Out, that he was approached for the role of Commissioner Gordon in Justice League, which has been given to Oscar-winning actor J.K. Simmons.
