According to Deadline Ciara Renée has been cast as Hawkgirl in the untitled Arrow/ The Flash spinoff television series that’ll be airing on The CW.
Renée is a new television actress, but surely picked by casting director David Rapaport, who has a great eye for new talent, as he’s been casting nothing but gold for all the DC Television series, with Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and now for the untitled Arrow/ The Flash spinoff.
In the new series, Renée will be playing Saunders, a young woman who is just beginning to learn that she has been repeatedly reincarnated over the centuries. When provoked, her ancient warrior persona manifests itself, along with wings that grow out of her back, earning her the moniker Hawkgirl.
Looks like they’re going with Hawkgirl from Earth 2 from The New 52.
