According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor David Dastmalchian, who’s best known for his role in Marvel Studios movie Ant-man andAnt-Man and the Wasp, is confirmed to be playing the role of Polka-Dot Man in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, where Dastmalchian himself has confirmed his casting in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter at the 6:14 mark.
Polka-Dot Man debuted in 1962’s Detective Comics No. 300. Abner Krill was a low-level crook who tried to make a name for himself with spot-themed crimes and a costume that included some amazing gimmicks, such as spots that transformed into buzzsaws and flying saucers on command.
This won’t be Dastmalchian’s first DC Comics movie, as he also appeared in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight, in which he played Joker henchman Thomas Schiff.
The Suicide Squad is set to release in theaters on August 5th, 2021.
