Shazam director David F. Sandberg, in an interview with Film Riot while promoting his latest film Annabelle: Creation, spoke on where the production of Shazam stands, if the film has a script.
Sandberg also goes on to talk on how he’s been reading all the different Shazam comic books, while admitting that regardless which direction he goes with the film on Shazam’s origin, there’ll be fans who will end up disappointed with the direction, due to all the different versions. Sandberg also goes on to confirm that Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson) will not be in the film, according to the latest script for the film and that Shazam is the next film in the DC Extended Universe to go into production.
