David Harewood who’s playing Hank Henshaw in Supergirl, while promoting his latest film A Midsummer Night’s Dream spoke exclusively to Blackfilm.com and within the interview Harewood spoke on his character of Hank Henshaw, his becoming Cyborg Superman on the series and confirming it won’t happen anytime soon.

Congrats on Supergirl being picked up. Having read that you are a comic book fan, was Hank Henshaw a character you ever envisioned playing?

DH: Not at all. Never. I didn’t even know the character existed to be honest with you. I was an incredible Hulk fan. I was into Superman and the Superman mythology, so the character of Hank Henshaw was a surprise to me than Cyborg Superman. I’m very excited about it. We have a long way to go before we get to what he eventually becomes. He’s a really driven character and having been blown up in Homeland and blown up in Spooks: The Greater Good, I’m delighted that Hank Henshaw is indestructible. So, I won’t be getting blown up anytime soon. That’s very pleasing.
