DC Comics Bombshells The Joker and Harley Quinn Statue – Review and Giveaway

DC Comics Bombshells The Joker and Harley Quinn statue by DC Collectibles, courtesy of Entertainment Earth. It’s April Fools and what’s the best way to celebrate than to do a Giveaway of the two biggest fools of DC Comics, who will be featured alongside each other in the upcoming Suicide Squad film.

The statue designed by Ant Lucia and sculpted by Tim Miller, stands approximately of 10 inches tall and it’s a limited edition of 5,200 statues in total.

REVIEW

The statue is from the popular Bombshells line of figures from DC Collectibles, this highly detailed statue features Harley smooching up her pubbin’ in a very “Kissing Sailor” photo fashion, which was made famous back in 1945, when the photo was taken in Times Square, New York on Victory over Japan Day, of a sailor kissing bending a nurse over and kissing her.

Clearly the roles for this statue were reversed with Harley being the dominant one, with The Joker not looking too pleased with Harley giving him so much attention, making this retro themed statue pose an exquisite one.

The statue come in three pieces, the statue itself, the base and the a plaque that reads “The Joker Harley Quinn” and unlike The Flash statue, this one was very easy to assemble. As for the paint job, I couldn’t find anything that stood out for mistakes when it came to the actual details, though what was noticeable was that there were chips of missing pieces on the statue, along The Joker’s hair and on Harley’s right ear.

Those were the only real flaws of the statue, but it didn’t take away from the awesome homage to “Kissing Sailor” pose between the two characters, the overall design of The Joker in his solider outfit and Harley Quinn in her nurse outfit.
