Diane Lane Wants to Share a Scene with Nicole Kidman

Diane Lane who plays Martha Kent in the DC Extended Universe, recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporter a bit on her time in Justice League, on what she would like to see of her character in the upcoming films, such as sharing a scene with Nicole Kidman, who’s playing Aquaman’s (Jason Momoa) mother in one of the DC films. 

“I don’t think I’m allowed to talk much about it. But it was good for me, selfishly, to have a reunion with everyone and meeting some of the new characters, I want a scene with Nicole, that’s what I really want. Perhaps in another [sequel]!”

She also goes on to joke about how she and Kidman are both too young to be the mothers of their actor son’s, stating she started the trend:

“Well, I set that precedent!”

She also talks on the Martha scene in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, regarding the backlash it received:

Though memes have been made of the moment, Lane wasn’t surprised when she first read it in the script and found it appropriate for the story. “It’s the compassion for a man who’s lost his mother. When you understand the wound, you can work better with people,” said Lane.
