Dwayne Johnson who’s playing Black Adam in the DC Extended Universe, who’s Shazam’s (Zachary Levi) arch nemesis, went on to confirm in an interview while promoting his latest movie Skyscraper, that he won’t be in David F. Sandberg’s Shazam!
Johnson simply goes on to say that he’s not in the movie, but does say at one point the two should appear on the big screen together.
“I’m not in that one,” Johnson said. “It’s Shazam and Black Adam and, with the way the DC universe works, we should — in theory — meet up on the big screen. But who knows.”
A cameo or easter egg of Black Adam in Shazam! can still very well happen, as actors tend to lie about their appearances in movies if they’re meant to be a surprise for the audience. As fans, we can only wait and see what truly ends up happening.
Shazam! releases in theaters on April 5th, 2019.
