Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has finally been confirmed to be playing Black Adam in the Shazam film after almost a year of rumors and speculations as to whom he was going to be playing between the two characters of either Black Adam and Shazam. These rumors started after numerous amount of teasing from by Johnson in interviews and on twitter on the subject. Variety reports that Darren Lemke who’s best known for his work on the tv series Lost and also films such as Shrek Forever After, Turbo and Jack the Giant Slayer will be writing the script for Shazam.

We were rooting for Johnson to play Black Adam for sometime now, we’re very happy with this casting choice!
