Young British actress Emily Carey looks to have been cast to play a young Diana in the standalone Wonder Woman film, directed by Patty Jerkins and starring Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.
This casting hasn’t been officially confirmed by Warner Bros, but after doing some research it makes sense, more so when Carey confirmed on her official Twitter account she was off to Italy to film a movie back on April 4th and as we previously reported Wonder Woman has filmed in Italy since late March.
What also helps confirm this casting, is that Emily is following lead actresses Gal Gadot and Robin Wright, along with director Patty Jerkin and the official Wonder Woman account on Twitter.
As we know that the pre-production work for Wonder Woman took place in England, which makes perfect sense why they would cast a young actress from the United Kingdom to play a young Diana in the film.
The other obvious clue, is that Emily looks very much like a young version of Gal Gadot. Of course this possible casting should be taken with a grain of salt until it’s officially confirmed by someone close to the project, but we strongly believe it to be true. Take it as you will.
At the airport headed to Italy to shoot a film. So excited. Biggest adventure yet! Ciao tutti.
