Ezra Miller who’s playing The Flash in the DC Extended Universe, during an interview with The Huffington Post for his film The Stanford Prison Experiment, was asked by the interviewer on why he choose to be The Flash, as it’s a mainstream type of character, which is very different from everything he’s done in the past.
Which Miller responded that all he cares about doing is telling a good story and he felt that’s what he would be doing by playing The Flash, the comment is made around the 25:40 mark:
