IGN got the first exclusive look at Jason Todd (Curran Walters) in DC Universe’s upcoming live action series, Titans. In the first official photo of the character, we see Jason dressed as Robin with the original Robin, Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites). In the comics, Jason Todd later becomes Red Hood.
Titans will also have Starfire (Anna Diop), Raven (Teagan Croft), Beast Boy (Ryan Potter) on the team. In an interview with IGN, showrunner Greg Walker spoke on the relationship between the dueling Robins when they eventually come face to face on the series:
“What I really love about [Jason] as a character is the unbridled sense of self that he has – there’s a lack of… maybe self-awareness, but for sure self-consciousness in terms of how he comports himself and how he moves through the world,” Walker explained. “He’s completely seemingly unaffected by darkness – he kind of embraces it or walks right through it. He’s a breath of fresh air and that’s what I love about him, he’s got a punk rock, no-holds-barred attitude that’s massively unburdened. There’s a lot of energy that comes with that.”
A 28 second clip was also released by the official social media pages for Titans:
