Gal Gadot and Margot Robbie Nominated for Critics’ Choice Awards

The nominations for the Critics’ Choice Awards were announced today, with Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) and Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn) both receiving nominations for their roles in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad.

The nominations come as a bit of a surprise, as both films were critically panned. Though one of the many praises of the films were the introduction and performances of both Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn in each film.

Gal Gadot and Margot Robbie are two great actresses and they both deserve to win. Not like the non asian actress been choose to play a role that was supposed to be asian but is no more, so the studio can show the movie in China without offending them, and that other actress who’s basically a piece of wood with, in my opinon, is not talented at all, but she has a big famous name so she’s in more movie that actress who really have talent and are able at least to do more that one expression. Only actress of comic book movies have received this nominations? This is suspicious. Critics are hypocritical by their nature, they constantly contradict themselves with their own words and behaviors. I don’t know why people are still giving importance to critics, everyone is free to believe in what he wants, but truth is truth and ignorance is ignorance. First of all, a critic is a subjective statement against an object. So every single word of a critic is subjective and influenced. I personally think that all critics are useless and don’t have any concrete importanace and I’m sure that is the most hypocritical job in the movie industry. In 1960 a movie called Peeping Tom was released. Is a movie directed by Michael Powell. That movie was criticized by everyone, critics and audience. The director himself was criticized, from everyone. critics had made the movie looks like was the worst of the movies ever made. Well, some decade later that movie, Peeping Tom, was considered a masterpiece almost unanimously. From expert and from the history of cinema, is now considered an important movie in the creation of genre, in particular is the movie who, with other few, created the Thriller genre based on the Noir. Is considered a masterpiece and an important movie for the history of cinema and for the genres. So, when it was released was bashed and criticized in every way, but later was considered really great. Some can’t be a thing and is exact opposite in the exactly same moment, something can’t be alive and dead in the same moment, the day and daylight can’t exist in the same place in the same moment when there’s night and dark, so this fact must show to all the ignorants out there, an important message, if they can understand it, otherwise will keep proving that there are a lot of ignorants. The case of BvS is more clear that the sun and thousands stars. The movie was criticized from his announcement, when the movie didn’t existed. So this ring some bells? Or people are only sheeps and puppets? Batman v Superman is a masterpice, time told and will tell. Time and art go in the same way.
Ironically, some people have criticized the movie because they expected something else and because they wanted to see the movie that they had in mind. So a movie can be considered good only if it is what the audience, who didn’t necessary have degrees in arts, cinema, music or other of this important parts of the artistic side of media, wants? Only if is what someone had in his mind? Well, actually BvS is what Zack Snyder wanted to see, is the movie about Superman and Batman that had in his mind. critics and criticism are hypocritical in most of the cases, guess why. Art is bigger than life, and is clearly bigger than some useless critics. The one who are able ot do, are doing, the ones who aren’t able to do, they are criticizing. The real value of art is not proven by the hate or love of some, but by the immensity of the power of the art itself.
“If you’re not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing.”
