Gal Gadot who plays Wonder Woman in Justice League, recently spoke with US Magazine regarding Superman’s death affecting both Wonder Woman and Batman after the aftermath of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Gadot goes on to explain first how Wonder Woman is an important asset due to how she’s been through her battles with Ares and Doomsday, she then goes on to explain how both Wonder Woman and Batman feel the need to fill Superman’s void in the world by forming the Justice League.

“She’s grown up — it’s been a century, after all!” the actress says of where things stand for Diana Prince when we pick up with her in this movie. “She’ll bring her specific qualities to a group dynamic, and she understands the enemy better than anyone else.” After battling Ares and helping take down Doomsday, that makes sense, and Wonder Woman will be joining Batman as the team’s leader here.

“Since they’ve fought together, they know each other’s strengths,” Gadot explains when asked about the dynamic between Bruce Wayne and Diana as they look to bring together a team of heroes capable of protecting the world in Superman’s absence. “They also understand the hope Superman stood for, that was lost [when he died], so they feel that more than the others.”
