Glenn Morshower Cast as General Sam Lane on Supergirl

According exclusively to IGN, Glenn Morshower (X-Men: First Class, 24, Transformers) has been cast as Lois and Lucy Lane’s father General Sam Lane, on the upcoming first season of the CBS television series Supergirl.

The Sam Lane is described  as followed:

General Lane is described as a powerful military lifer — and an overprotective father to both Lucy Lane and her sister, Lois. His arrival in National City stirs up trouble for Supergirl when he enlists her in a dangerous government initiative.

IGN also confirms that General Lane’s introduction will come on the heels of Lucy Lane (Jenna Dewan Tatum), who has been confirmed to be a recurring character for the series.

Supergirl series premiere is October 26th on CBS.
