Italia Ricci Cast as Silver Banshee in Supergirl

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Italia Ricci (Chasing Life) has been cast as Silver Banshee in this season of Supergirl.

Ricci will make her debut in episode 14 as the character or Siobhan Smythe, a new hire for Cat Grant, who initially becomes a work nemesis for Kara (Melissa Benoist), who later becomes a more deadly foe to Supergirl when she takes on the mantle of Silver Banshee.

Executive producers Andrew Kreisberg has this to say about the casting:

“We are so excited to be working with Italia,” Kreisberg said in a statement. “We’ve been a fan of her work for years and we cannot wait to see her take on this iconic comic book role.”
