James Gunn Confirmed to be Writing Suicide Squad 2

It’s official James Gunn will in fact be writing the script for Suicide Squad 2, confirmed by DC Comics themselves on DC Daily episode 20 that aired this past week.

In the episode host Tiffany Smith confirms that Gunn will be writing Suicide Squad 2, stating that Gunn is posed to bring a completely fresh take to the Suicide Squad franchise after the first installment being directed and written by David Ayer. 

There’s no word if Gavin O’connor is still on-board to direct the movie, thus far there’s no official word stating otherwise, just rumors by different Entertainment news outlets reporting that James Gunn is also in talks to direct the movie.

Suicide Squad 2 still doesn’t have an official release date or production start date, as it’s still in early development.
