With every comic book movie, there’s always fan casting of characters and one of the many names being thrown around by fans, is American actress Jessica Chastain for the role of Poison Ivy in David Ayer’s upcoming DC Extended Universe film Gotham City Sirens.
Due to this, during her interview for her latest film The Zookeeper’s Wife, Chastain was asked on if she would be interested in playing the role of Poison Ivy in Gotham City Sirens.
“I’m interested in all things where the characters are strong and dynamic, and not stereotypes or objects. I like female characters that are subjects, not objects. And so, if Poison Ivy happens to be that, sure. Throw my hat in the ring.”
Gotham City Sirens is still in development, with no other casting being officially announced outside of Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn.
