The script for Justice League Dark, which is now being called Dark Universe has been officially completed and submitted to Warner Bros. starting as in today. This has been officially confirmed by the screenplay writer himself, Guillermo del Toro– who’s also set to direct the film.

Dark Universe will be based on the Justice League Dark DC Comics based on a team of supernatural members of the DC Comics universe, which handle situations deemed unfit for the traditional Justice League team. The original Justice League Dark team, consists of John Constantine, Madame Xanadu, Deadman, Shade, the Changing Man and Zatanna.

Del Toro whose best known for films such as Blade II, Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy, Hellboy II: The Golden Army and The Hobbit series, has been working on the screenplay for Dark Universe for over a year now and has been campaigning for it ever since.

Warner Bros.’s responds to the script will be known in a few days and the film could then be greenlit into production soon afterwards if the script is favorable to the studio.

Now we just wait…
