Kiersey Clemons who’s playing Iris West in The Flash movie, who was originally cast by previous director Rick Famuyiwa, due to her role in his hit film Dope, was recently interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter on the departure of the director.
In the interview Clemons goes on to say she was very upset that he left the project, but promises to do what she set out to do in the beginning regardless of the director when it comes to her character of Iris.
“Rick was one of the main reasons I wanted to do the movie, so him not being a part of it is obviously very upsetting to me. All I can do is give it up to the gods. Let’s see what happens. Let’s see who’s going to jump in. Ezra and I are going to do what we promised to do from the beginning, no matter who the director is, I am going to do what I think Iris should be.”
