Actor Matt Bomer, best known for his role in the television series White Collar, Normal Heart and American Horror Story, has been cast as Negative Man in the live action series Doom Patrol for the DC Comics streaming platform DC Universe.
Bomer will be appearing as alter ego of Negative Man, Larry Trainor in flashback scenes and providing the character’s voiceover, while as Matthew Zuk will take on the physical costume performance of Negative Man.
The follows the story of outcasts team of superheroes Robotman (Brendan Fraser), Negative Man, Elasti-Woman (April Bowlby) and Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero), who are led by modern-day mad scientists Dr. Niles Caulder (Timothy Dalton) and Cyborg (Joivan Wade). While actor Alan Tudyk will star as the supervillain, Mr. Nobody.
Doom Patrol has a 2019 release date on DC Universe.
