The Batman director Matt Reeves was recently on MTVNews Josh Horowitz’s podcast Happy Sad Confused, where he spoke a bit on the project and was asked by Horowitz if the original script written by Ben Affleck and Geoff Johns was still be used, in which Reeves confirms the script will be completely rewritten, as it’s a new story.
“No,” Reeves replied. “It’s a new story. It’s just starting again. I’m excited about it. I think it’s going to be really cool.”
Reeves also spoke a bit on how he agreed to join the project, by stating he had to accept it emotionally and once again confirming that Warner Bros. is happy with his approach, he also confirms that casting process for the film still hasn’t happened, as he’s been doing anything with the film, as he’s been busy with War for the Planet of the Apes.
