Nicolas Winding Refn Wants to Direct a Batgirl Movie

Director Nicolas Winding Refn , best known for the film Drive, recently spoke to Business Insider where he was promoting his first female driven film The Neon Demon, went on to speak on how he would had loved to have directed the Wonder Woman film, then went on to state how he really wants to direct a big Hollywood film and the movie he would want to do would be a Batgirl film.

On working on a big Hollywood film, after stating he wanted to make a Wonder Woman film:

“God, I would love to make one, it would probably be great fun,” Refn told Business Insider this week. “I just don’t know when it’s going to happen. I very much enjoy my freedom creatively, but I also would love to make one of those big Hollywood films that costs a lot of money and has a lot of people running around with cell phones and all that insanity.”

On wanting to make a Batgirl film, now that Wonder Woman has already been done:

“What ones are left?” Refn pondered for a second. “You know the one I want to do? I want to make Batgirl. Let’s get Warner working on it.”
