Suicide Squad Featured on Four Different Entertainment Weekly Covers

Suicide Squad is featured on four different covers of Entertainment Weekly for the July 15th issue of the magazine. The issue in itself will feature interviews with the cast and director David Ayer whom quoted in talking about the lack of public knowledge of the Suicide Squad prior to the film being made and how there’s a lot more hype and attention towards the film than what was ever intended to be.

“Two years ago ­Suicide Squad was a tertiary [DC property]. No one knew anything about it. It was a cool little playground, and I was going to go make my movie,” says the film’s writer/director, David Ayer. “Now it’s like the hype bus. All of the attention has swung onto it, and it has to carry a lot more weight than it was ever intended to. I think it can sustain it. But it’s a lot of pressure. You definitely feel the pressure.”
