As its already been reported back in November 19th, Suicide Squad was set to shoot in the Pinewood Toronto Studios.
The Hollywood Reporter is now confirming that the pre-production for the film will start in February and the will start rolling the cameras in mid-April until September, in and around Toronto.
Along with that confirmation, we also learn that Jai Courtney, Tom Hardy, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto are in the last stages of talks for roles and that Colin Wilson (Jurassic Park, Amistad, Munich, Avatar, John Carter, Zero Dark Thirty) is producing.
Will Smith was not mentioned, which leaves the impression he no longer in talks. Though nothing has been confirmed.
Moving away from that, the IMDB page for Suicide Squad was updated with the following production crew added– Roman Vasyanov (End of Watch, The East, Fury) for cinematographer, Kate Hawley (The Hobbit, Pacific Rim, Edge of Tomorrow) as costumes designer and Guy Norris (Moulin Rouge, Lord of The Rings, Mad Max: Fury Road) as unit director and supervising stunt coordinator.
