Supergirl Cast React to the Hype For the Series

The Supergirl cast members Melissa Benoist (Supergirl), Chyler Leigh (Alex Danvers) and Mehcad Brooks (James Olsen) talked to IGN at the CBS Upfront from a weeks ago about the hype behind the television series, the feelings of entering the world of DC Comics and much more.

IGN: Obviously getting a TV show picked up to series is exciting, no matter what. But a project like this means there’s so much more attention from the get go. What’s it like feeling the anticipation and hype?

Melissa Benoist: I think we’re just as excited to work on it and create it. There’s a lot of pressure, but the good kind to just blow everyone out of the water and inspire some people.

Chyler Leigh: Across the board we’ve had some great conversations about the show and it was just awesome to see the presentation. It’s such a great electricity in the room, with all the shows coming up and just watching and getting a piece of all that, that was really cool. That was exciting.
