Syfy is developing a Superman Origin television series titled Krypton, that’s not like Smallville and you’ll learn why.
They’re turning to David S. Goyer (Man of Steel) to produce and Ian Goldberg (Once Upon a Time, FlashForward) to pen the script and develop the origin story that’ll be based on the planet of Krypton, Superman’s home planet.
The series will be from Warner Horizon Television and DC Comics and it’ll take place years before the legend that is Superman. The story will follow Superman’s grandfather and the House of El, as he brings hope and equality to Krypton, turning a planet in disarray into one worthy of giving birth to the Man of Steel.
Unlike Gotham it doesn’t seem like we’ll be seeing Kal-El be a major role if a role at all on this new television series.
