The Batman director Matt Reeves confirmed through his official Twitter account that production for the movie is shut down and will remain shut down until it is safe for them to resume production. Reeves confirms the end in production after a fan goes on to ask the director if shooting of the movie has experienced any delays.
It’s no surprise that the cause of the shut down of production is due to the worldwide Coronavirus pandemic, which can last as far into the year as August according to some reports of the virus.

The Batman is slated to be released in theaters on June 25, 2021.
