Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist suit up as The Flash and Supergirl with executive producers Greg Berlanti as they’re featured on the new cover of Variety magazine.
Variety sat down with Berlanti to talk about how he got started in television, talks about his history of failures and successes, as well as how he relies on writers for his television series, because he doesn’t have a strong suit in everything when it comes to writing for a television series, that his relationship with other writers and producers are important.
Berlanti also talks on the DC television series, mainly Supergirl stating that once people see the pilot they’ll be blown away. Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara was also quoted in the article, where he praised what Berlanti for DC with television:
“Greg has done an amazing job of reinvigorating the superhero genre on television, and opening the DC canon to fans in a different way,” says Warner Bros. chairman-CEO Kevin Tsujihara. “He is incredibly talented, and we are fortunate to be in business with him.”
