Tom Ellis Has Been Cast as Lucifer

British actor Tom Ellis has been cast in FOX’s upcoming DC/Vertigo Comics adapted television series Lucifer. He’ll be playing the title character, the fallen angel and devil himself Lucifer.

The one-hour drama comes from executive producer and writer Tom Kapinos, and will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television and Kapinos’ Aggressive Mediocrity, in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Alongside Kapinos, Wiseman and Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman will also executive produce. KristieAnne Reed will co-executive produce.

Sleepy Hollow creator Len Wiseman will direct the pilot.
