Vanessa Hudgens to Lead DC Comics Comedy Powerless

Vanessa Hudgens (Sucker Punch) has been confirmed as the lead character Emily Locke, for DC Comics comedy sitcom pilot for NBC, titled Powerless.

The sitcom will be a single-camera office comedy set in the DC Universe, following the lives of employees at an insurance company.

Hudgens character is described as an insurance claims adjuster who loves her job because she gets to help people, who flies under the radar and gets the work done, who also finds herself increasingly exasperated by the disruptive antics of the various superheroes in her city, which city in the DC Universe isn’t disclosed.

The character of Emily Locke is a new created character for the series, as no character exist in DC Comics.
