According to sources from Latino Review, Viola Davis (How To Get Away With Murder, Prisoner, The Help, Doubt) has landed the role of one of the greatest DC Comics supervillians/anti-heroes and the direct in command of the Suicide Squad, Amanda Waller in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad.
This news doesn’t come with much of a surprise as earlier this month Davis, along with Oprah Winfrey and Octavia Spencer were reported as being the top contenders for the role.
This casting hasn’t been officially confirmed by Warner Bros., though there’s a great possibly of it being true if earlier reports are anything to go by. Until then, it’s not officially official until Warner Bros announces the casting.
Suicide Squad releases in theaters on August 5, 2016.
