According to The Wrap exclusively, Warner Bros. has hired Wonder Woman screenplay writer Jason Fuchs, to helm the screenplay for the LOBO solo film, which has been in development for some time now. The film has yet to be officially confirmed by Warner Bros. or slated with the other films in the DC Extended Universe.

The Wrap’s insiders say that Fuchs will start from scratch with his own take on Lobo. For those unfamiliar with the character from the comics, he’s an anti-hero alien biker, who works as an interstellar mercenary and bounty hunter, that first appeared in Omega Men #3 in June 1983.

The character became popular in the early 90’s within the comics, as well as because of his appearances in the Superman animated series back in the 90’s on KIDS’ WB.
