Wonder Woman to Release in China Same Day as North America

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Wonder Woman will premiere in China the same day as its domestic release, which is June 2nd, 2017. China is the second largest movie market, second behind that of North America.

Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will wash ashore in the Middle Kingdom and North America simultaneously on May 26, followed by Warner Bros.’ Wonder Woman on June 2.

With Wonder Woman releasing the same day in China as its domestic release, this simply means the World Wide box office number for its opening weekend will be much more impressive.
