New Gods director Ava DuVernay went on to her official Twitter account to do a Q&A with fans and among the many asked questions, DuVernay was asked if she was approached for the movie, in which she answered back that it was actually her who approached them and said she wanted to make a New Gods movie.

DuVernay also goes on to give a bit of update on what’s happening with New Gods, as she goes on to say that the movie is in early development and she’s feeling good about it.

New Gods still doesn’t have an official release date, fans are hoping something will be announced during this year’s San Diego Comic Con.
