Actress and Singer Barbra Streisand went on to Twitter to criticize the75th Annual Golden Globes that took place this past Sunday, for snubbing both Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins and the movie itself. As no female director were nominated for the award this year.
Streisand went on to say express her disappointment for Wonder Woman not being recognized, while also pointing out the fact that three of the highest grossing movies of 2017 were all carried by women.
I also would have liked to see director @PattyJenks and her film @WonderWomanFilm recognized because it shows how strong women can be, not only as characters but also at the box office. The three highest-grossing films last year were all carried by women.
