Cara Delevingne who’s playing Enchantress in Suicide Squad, in a recent interview with Empire Magazine spoke on Superhero movies being totally sexist, on how the best roles in Suicide Squad in her opinion is that of the female roles and a bit about her character of Enchantress in the film.
“There are only three girls in [‘Suicide Squad’] but in my opinion they have the best roles,” she said. “Generally though, superhero movies are totally sexist. Female superheroes are normally naked or in bikinis. No-one would be able to fight like that. Wonder Woman, how the hell does she fight? She would be dead in a minute.”
Delevingne also talked about her role as Enchantress in David Ayer’s ‘Suicide Squad’ and her ability to control minds. Asked if that’s the ultimate superpower, the actress said: “No, I think I’d rather be able to anybody or anything, I guess.”
Going by her comments, Delevingne doesn’t seem to know much about Wonder Woman’s powers in the comics, guess she’ll have to watch Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice when it comes out next year!
