Cara Delevingne Says the Three Females in Suicide Squad are the Best Roles

Cara Delevingne who’s playing Enchantress in Suicide Squad, in a recent interview with Empire Magazine spoke on Superhero movies being totally sexist, on how the best roles in Suicide Squad in her opinion is that of the female roles and a bit about her character of Enchantress in the film.

“There are only three girls in [‘Suicide Squad’] but in my opinion they have the best roles,” she said. “Generally though, superhero movies are totally sexist. Female superheroes are normally naked or in bikinis. No-one would be able to fight like that. Wonder Woman, how the hell does she fight? She would be dead in a minute.”

Delevingne also talked about her role as Enchantress in David Ayer’s ‘Suicide Squad’ and her ability to control minds. Asked if that’s the ultimate superpower, the actress said: “No, I think I’d rather be able to anybody or anything, I guess.”

Going by her comments, Delevingne doesn’t seem to know much about Wonder Woman’s powers in the comics, guess she’ll have to watch Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice when it comes out next year!

This promises to be a movie to skip.
Cara D a non-actress (imo) has a leading role, displays no knowledge of superheroes and states the movie is feminist-friendly.
    No thank you.

Way to promote a movie too.
    Good job.

    • Cara is a great actress, she’s also one lead character among a bunch of others and a film having awesome female characters isn’t something to be against. As a female (yes the person who created this site is female) is happy to see more female lead roles in these comic book movies who aren’t just standing around and being saved all the time!

Lately, holding the fact she doesn’t know much about superheroes is something that can be held against many of these actors in comic book films, as many admit to never growing up reading comic books or knowing much about them prior to getting the role.

I’ve personally encountered people who call themselves comic book fans who don’t know much about Wonder Woman either.
