According to The Wrap, Chris Pine has closed a deal with Warner Bros. to play opposite of Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) in the solo Wonder Woman film, that’s being directed by Patty Jenkins and is reportedly to begin filming this upcoming Fall.
Pine was rumored to be up for the role of Hal Jordan for the Green Lantern Corps, but and that the Wonder Woman film casting were just a smokescreen, but The Wrap reports those rumors were proven unfounded.
Warner Bros. has yet to officially released a statement on the casting.
Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Charles Roven and Richard Suckle are producing the film, while Jason Fuchs has written the screenplay.
Wonder Woman is slated to release on June 23, 2017.
