As we previously reported last week, Matt Ryan during his panel at Tampa Bay Comic Con spoke on the idea of returning to the role of John Constantine in general, as well as on the idea of appearing as the character on Arrow.
Ryan even went as far to state he would like Constantine to act towards the costume heroes on Arrow like he does in the comics:
In the comics John always calls all the superheroes costumers. It’ll be weird to just turn around and go: ‘Hey, nice leather pants, if I don’t say so myself’.
Well just moments ago Matt Ryan officially confirmed through Twitter that he will be in fact returning as John Constantine on Arrow.

“[‘Constantine’] is no longer on the air and luckily, one of our parent companies, Warner Bros., is the production company on [both ‘Arrow’ and ‘Constantine’ … it’s a great one-shot episode.”
Constantine’s appearance on Arrow is said to be as followed:
According to The CW, John Constantine is a weather-worn exorcist and expert on the supernatural and the occult. He is a detective, magician, and a hunter of demons, and will provide critical support to Oliver (Stephen Amell) when arrows aren’t enough.
