Suicide Squad director David Ayer, who’s in the process of developing Gotham City Sirens starring Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, went on to Twitter to debunk any doubts people may have on him regretting making Suicide Squad or working with Warner Bros.
As he goes on to say he worked with amazing people, the film itself won an Oscar and did incredible business at the box office, to then launch spinoffs, that he’s grateful.
Not for a second. Not for one second. I got to work with amazing people. It won an Oscar, did incredible business. Launched a franchise and spinoff. And like it or not it’s halfway to cult status. I grew as a person, grew creatively. Warners took a chance on me. I’m grateful.
