David F. Sandberg Confirms Grace Fulton is Playing Mary Marvel

As we previously reported actress Grace Fulton confirmed she has a role in Shazam, after it was previously reported by Variety she was in talks to be in the film and the role which wasn’t disclosed, was a character who was Billy Batson’s friend, which led to speculation by fans that she would be playing Mary Bromfield, also known as Mary Marvel.

Now Shazam director David F. Sandberg confirmed to a fan within the comments of his instagram post, where he confirms Grace Fulton casting, that she’ll be playing “Mary” and the only Marys to exist in the Shazam comics is Mary Bromfield, Billy Batson’s friend in the New 52 or Billy’s sister Mary Batson, both characters within the comics become Mary Marvel.
